So… it’s been a long time since I published an article on this site, actually I published one tiny article a while ago so it doesn’t count, anyway.
One of the FlexClip’s team reached out to me to review their service and had the pleasure to get a plus account, a plus account is the highest or best version you can get, so lucky me huh.
I gave it a small try yesterday to see how it works and what’s good and bad about it so let’s find out what my experience was in the next few lines.
Disclaimer: some of the links in this article might be sponsored thus I’ll earn a small fee for each one to subscribe to their service, which means you won’t have to pay an extra fee.
Features
Surprisingly, they don’t just offer online video making but also…
- Video trimming
- Video compression
- Video converting
- Screen Recording
And more…
Pros
I haven’t tried many “free” video makers in the past to compare with this one, actually, I’ve tried some but most weren’t fully free, each time you should subscribe to their paid service to remove their intro or watermark which ruins your video, here are some of the things I liked about their service if you subscribe to their plus account.
- Beginner-friendly
- You can host up to 200 projects
- A lot of stock images and videos
- Full HD video export
- A lot of templates
- Cheap service compared to other competitors
Cons
Even though I didn’t spend hours trying their service, but I found some stuff that I didn’t like.
- I wasn’t able to resize my uploaded images
- I wasn’t able to fully control text animations and timings.
- The free plan lets you download your video in 480p resolution which in my opinion isn’t usable nowadays.
- Hosting up to 200 projects may not be enough for some people so I had to put it in the disadvantages section.
That’s it for now if I find any other pros or cons I’ll modify this article to keep you updated.
Pricing
The pricing is shown below, take some time to look and compare between each plan.
Best alternatives
FlexClip isn’t widely known I must admit, there are a lot of free online video makers out there so I guess they got lost in the crowd.
One way to really stand out is by studying the weaknesses of their competition and make them their strengths, apparently they did when they offered cheap pricing plans, unlike the others.
Here are some of the other online video makers that I think worth your time and effort.
Final verdict
FlexClip has 697 reviews on Trustpilot which means you have plenty of reviews to explore before purchasing their service.
The only thing that may let me choose FlexClip over other video making sites out there is the pricing, it’s cheap if you compare to most famous sites like Animoto or Biteable.
They were also kind enough to provide me with a coupon code for my readers, here it’s: TECHGEEL30
I hope I covered all the aspects and didn’t forget anything, if you have any questions please let me know in the comments below.
